CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Harvard women's tennis team (0-2) was unable to surpass No. 48 Boston College (1-1) with a 4-3 loss Saturday afternoon in the Murr Center.
The Crimson doubles were unsuccessful as the Eagles claimed the doubles point early in the match with their No. 1 and No. 2 pairings. Harvard responded with three-straight singles victories.
The other three singles points were awarded to Boston College, as it fought back for a 4-3 win. Junior June Lee never gave No. 47 Lexi Borr a chance as Lee came up on top with sets of 6-4, 6-3. Erica Oosterhout also secured a triumph as she defeated Jennifer Ren, 6-1, 6-3, while senior Amy He also claimed a singles point by beating Wan-Yi Sweeting, 6-4, 6-2.
Harvard competes at the ECAC Tournament from Feb. 5-7, hosted by Dartmouth, in Hanover, N.H.
