No. 57 Women's Tennis Drops Contest to Old Dominion, 4-2

Lee won a singles point in the No. 1 position for Harvard (Zack Williamson).

NORFOLK, Va. - After falling behind early, No. 57 Harvard women's tennis team recovered two singles points but could not hold on as Old Dominion clinched the victory, 4-2, Sunday afternoon in Norfolk, Virginia.

The Big Blue got out to an early 1-0 lead after winning doubles matches from the No. 2 and No. 3 positions. Harvard's (5-6) doubles pairing of Annika Ringblom and Sabrina Xiong defeated Adriana Rajkovic and Natalya Malenko with a set score of 6-4. 

In singles play, June Lee topped Old Dominion's No. 1 player in Rajkovic with set scores 6-2, 6-2, while Amy He in the sixth position clinched the Crimson's second point of the match with a win over Malenko, 6-2, 6-2.

The Crimson takes a week off before welcoming Providence and Rhode Island to the Murr Center on Sunday, March 13 for an 11:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. match, respectively. Both will be broadcast on the Ivy League Digital Network.
