Ringblom Secures Deciding Point in 4-3 Victory over No. 53 Brown in Second Round of ECAC Tournament

Ringblom won her first match of the tournament to push Harvard to the championship tomorrow (Zack Williamson).

HANOVER, N.H. – The Harvard women's tennis team cleared the second round of the ECAC Indoor Tournament with a close 4-3 decision over No. 53 Brown at Dartmouth on Saturday afternoon.

Harvard began the match by winning two-of-three doubles matches to take the doubles point. The pairing of Annika Ringblom and Sabrina Xiong topped Brown's duo of Katie Ta and Hannah Camhi with a score of 6-4. Isabel Jasper and Nikki Kallenberg's tight match versus the Bears' Ammu Mandalap and Maddie Stearns concluded with a 7-5 set score.

Harvard's singles matches included three-of-six victories from Oosterhout, Ringblom, and Amy He. Oosterhout defeated Camhi in the No. 3 spot in two sets, 6-4, 7-5, while He beat Mandalap in two, 6-4, 6-2. Ringblom ended the match with a three-set victory over Ta when she came back after falling in the second with scores of 6-4, 6-7(4), 6-3.

The Crimson will play in the championship against the winner of the No. 32 Dartmouth or No. 58 Columbia match, with a start time of 2 p.m.
