No. 54 Women's Tennis Drops Ivy Matchup to No. 37 Columbia

He blanked the Lions' No. 6 singles player Adi Milstein (Zack Williamson).

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The No. 54 Harvard women's tennis team fell to No. 37 Columbia, 4-3, in its second Ivy League matchup Saturday afternoon at the Murr Center. 

The Lions clinched the doubles point with its No. 1 and No. 3 pairings with scores of 6-1 and 6-3, respectively. 

The Crimson earned three singles points late in the match, but were unable to top Columbia. Harvard's Annika Ringblom topped Alexandra Solovyev in the No. 4 spot, 6-2 and 6-1, while Sabrina Xiong surpassed Andrea Kevakian, 6-2 and 7-6, in the No. 5 position. Harvard's Amy He blanked the Lions' Adi Milstein, 6-0 and 6-0, in the No. 6 spot.

Harvard will compete on the road at Penn and Princeton for their month of Ivy League competition. The Crimson faces Penn on Saturday, April 9 for a 1 p.m. match, while traveling to Princeton on Sunday, April 10 for a 1 p.m. contest, as well.
