Women's Tennis Secures the Victory over Cal-State Northridge to Close Out Southern California Trip

NORTHRIDGE, Calif. – Closing out its spring break trip to southern California, the Harvard women's tennis team (7-8) picked up the 4-2 victory over California State – Northridge (2-6) on Saturday afternoon.

The Crimson began its day strong with a sweep of doubles. Junior Erica Oosterhout and Natasha Gonzalez led the way, earning their 11th victory together knocking off Alicia Dinkelmeyer and Mari Taslagyan in second doubles. Senior Annika Ringblom and freshman Anna Li kept pace earning their 11th win as partners with a 6-3 win in first doubles, while junior Isabel Jasper and Irene Lu claimed third doubles, 6-3. 

Freshman Jenna Moustafa sealed Harvard's blanking Cal State-Northridge's Arpe Bagumyan, 6-0, in the third set of fifth singles. Oosterhout continued to play well defeating Skyla Alcon in two sets, 6-1, 6-0, while Lexi Milunovich took sixth singles by a score of 6-1, 6-1.

What's Next
Harvard returns to the Murr Center Tennis Courts on Sunday March 25 against non-conference Quinnipiac at 2 p.m. The match will be broadcast on the Ivy League Network.
