CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Harvard women's tennis team (8-5) was edged by St. John's (6-3), 4-3, in a tight contest Sunday at the Murr Center Courts.
The Crimson began by capturing the doubles point, behind a strong showing by the first-year pairing of Chelsea Williams and Rachel Lim. The duo defeated Oceane Garibal and Olya Inclan Solis, 7-6(2), at No. 2. Sophomore Anna Li and first-year Annika Bassey, meanwhile, downed Gabriela Tenorio and Delia Arranz, 6-3, at the third position.
Lim led the way for Harvard in singles play, dominating at the No. 2 position, 6-2, 6-1, against Najah Dawson. The Crimson's third point would come from Li, who won her first set 6-3, before her opponent retired in the second.

- Li's win increases her singles dual record to 4-1 and 10-1 including tournament play.
