Harvard Athletics will require spectators at
all indoor campus athletic events to show proof of full COVID-19 vaccination or proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test administered within the previous 72 hours. This policy will go into effect
Friday, Oct. 15.
Fans attending indoor contests can comply with this requirement by showing the following:
- Proof of vaccination by showing one's vaccine card, a photo of one's card or a digital vaccine record is required for all indoor athletic events. The vaccine card must show two dates for Moderna/Pfizer and one date for the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
- Anyone who is exempt from or ineligible to receive the vaccine will be required to take a COVID-19 test within 72 hours before entering a Harvard Athletics facility and present their negative results at the door.
- Children under the age of 12 do not need to provide proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test but must adhere to all other visitor policies including wearing a mask while indoors.
- Given Harvard's vaccine requirement for all faculty, staff, and students, Harvard University students, faculty and staff can show their HUID to gain entrance.
These policies are subject to additions and changes as we get further guidance from Harvard University. Ticket holders who do not comply with venue policies will not be admitted. Ticket holders who are unable to comply can exchange to a different contest, if tickets remain available, at which they are able to show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test. If you or someone in your party are experiencing symptoms prior to attending the contest, please contact us to discuss your options (or to exchange your tickets to a future date). Please note: indoor venues will operate at full capacity at this time.
Harvard Athletics encourages all spectators to arrive early due to possible delays for entry.
Tickets for winter sports (men's and women's basketball and men's and women's ice hockey) will go on sale Oct. 4 and the ticket office will communicate any updates or further information for ticket holders to those contests.
Concessions will be available, which means that some patrons might remove masks when actively eating/drinking. If you must unmask to eat or drink, please keep it to a minimum and put your mask back on as soon as possible.
Fans attending contests for the following sports will need to show proof of vaccine or a negative COVID-19 test within the previous 72 hours:
Schedules of our winter teams are linked in the last above.
Some additional reminders:
- Fans should not come to the Harvard Athletics complex if they are not feeling well or have symptoms of COVID-19.
- Additional hand sanitizer stations have been added throughout the athletics complex. Fans and staff are encouraged to use these, and wash their hands regularly, on gameday.
- At this time, there are no restrictions on capacity for indoor or outdoor home contests for fall or winter sports.
- For indoor contests, all attendees MUST wear masks at all times.
- For contests at Harvard Stadium, all attendees MUST wear a mask to enter restrooms.
- Outdoor tailgates are permitted. Pre- or post-game tailgates must occur outdoors only. We will not be able to reserve space for tailgates at any of our indoor facilities at this time.
- ALL current and applicable University COVID-19 policies and protocols must be followed regardless of visitor and program participant vaccination status.
- Information regarding spring contests will be released at a later date.
