CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Women's Tennis put on another great performance Sunday morning against Boston College to wrap up the first weekend of competition and the Harvard Fall Classic. The Crimson played well all weekend and finished strong against the Eagles at the Murr Center indoor courts.
The Crimson recorded wins in two of three doubles matches, as well as four of six singles matches on the morning to add on to the successful weekend.
In Flight A, first-year
Rachel Arbitman added on to her impressive start by winning in three sets over BC's Laura Lopez, 6-4, 5-7, 10-8. Junior
Mihaela Marculescu also posted a singles win in three sets by a score of 6-3, 5-7, 10-6.
In Flight B, first-year
Angel You picked up where she left off defeating Marion Conklin in two sets, 6-4, 6-0. Senior
Rachel Lim earned her second straight singles victory by besting Hailey Wilcox 6-1, 6-4.
In the doubles matches, in Flight A,
Iveta Daujotaite/
Maxi Duncan beat Laura Lopez/Marice Aguiar swiftly, 8-2. Meanwhile,
Mihaela Marculescu and
Rachel Arbitman defeated Hailey Wilcox and Natasha Irani 8-2 as well.
Harvard Highlights
- Arbitman keeps up her hot start at Harvard by picking up her second win.
- Lauryn Wu stayed unbeaten on the year having a 2-0 record in both the singles and doubles matches.
