FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Junior
Achele Agada scored two tries as Harvard women's rugby beat Sacred Heart University by a score of 53-0, to improve to 3-0 on the season.
The Crimson broke through with its first try of the game when senior
Cassidy Bargell found the try zone 15 minutes in. With 13 minutes remaining in the half, Bargell would then assist Agada for the second try of the game for Harvard, which made it 12-0. The Crimson would tack on two more tries to end the half, with first-year
Chloe Headland and Agada scoring. Headland also made two conversions in the half and Harvard went into the break with a 24-0 lead.
Sophomore
Nafanua Malietoa Fitisemanu got the Crimson rolling in the second half with her third try of the season before senior
Erica Jarrell notched her first of the season, and Harvard led 36-0 midway through the half. Senior
Sabrina Kim tallied her third try in two games while first-years
Jara Emtage-Cave and
Kiani Akina both scored a try in the closing minutes. Sophomore
Brogan Mior got her season started with two conversions in the second half as the Crimson rolled to a 53-0 road victory.
