CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Harvard women's rugby is set to play in the NIRA Division I Championship against Dartmouth. The No. 2 Crimson will travel to Hanover, New Hampshire, to take on No. 1 Dartmouth. The game will take place at Burnham Field on Saturday, Nov. 19 at 4:30 p.m. (ESPN+).
WHAT TO KNOW
- No. 2 Harvard knocked out No. 3 Army, 41-24, in the NIRA Semifinals at Mignone Field last week.
- In the other semifinal, No. 1 Dartmouth beat No. 4 Quinnipiac last week, 47-14, in the NIRA Semifinals played at Dartmouth.
- Dartmouth is the reigning champion from last year's win against Army. The Big Green still remains undefeated for the season with an 8-0 record.
- This will mark the Crimson's third championship finals appearance. In 2019, Harvard topped Army West Point, 18-7, while in 2018, Harvard fell to Dartmouth, 19-14.
- The Crimson is looking to win its first championship title since 2019, after it defeated Dartmouth in the semifinals, 23-22, and Army in the championship game, 18-7.
- In 2022, Harvard posted a 5-2 record during the regular season with its only two setbacks each coming via two-point margins.
WHAT IS NEXT
This will be the last game of the Fall 2022 15s season, and the winner will become the 2022 NIRA Division I Champion.
