CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Harvard women's tennis team (6-7) fell to Central Florida 4-1, on Friday evening at the United States Tennis Association (USTA) National Campus in Orlando, Fla.
The Crimson opened the match by dropping the doubles point,
Iveta Daujotaite and
Angel You fell to the 57th ranked doubles pairing of Evgeniya Levashova and Marie Mattel of UCF at the first position, 6-2.
Moving on to the singles contests,
Angel You earned the point for the Crimson at the third position after leading 2-1 before the match was retired.
The Crimson dropped at No. 6, No. 5 and No. 4 to provide the result.
Sophia Ho held a 6-3, 5-2 lead over No. 68 Evgeniya Levashova of the Knights before UCF clinched the match at the fourth position.
Maxi Duncan won the first set and was trailing 5-4 in the second set at the second position.
