Women's Lacrosse Drops Midweek Contest, 17-1, to No. 2 Boston College

Box Score CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Ilana Kofman scored for Harvard women's lacrosse (4-6), as the Crimson fell 17-1 to defending national champion No. 2 Boston College (13-1) at Jordan Field on Tuesday night (April 12).

Sophomore goalkeeper Chloe Provenzano made three first half saves, and first-year Lizzie Francioli stopped two shots in the second half.

Harvard was held off the scoreboard in the opening half despite firing seven shots on cage. Scoring opportunities were fairly even in the opening 30 minutes, but the Eagles converted their chances and led 9-0 at the break.

In a defensive third quarter, Harvard struck first with 5:08 to play in the frame, as sophomore Callie Hem found a cutting Kofman, who fired a quick shot into the short side of the net to make it 9-1.

But BC goalkeeper Rachel Hall (eight saves) kept Harvard off the scoreboard the rest of the night. The Eagles closed the half with two more goals and added six more tallies in the fourth quarter.
