PRINCETON, N.J. – A phenomenal effort by sophomore goalie
Chloe Provenzano (15 saves) was the high point for Harvard women's lacrosse (7-8, 4-3 Ivy), which battled but fell short, 13-6, against No. 9 Princeton (13-3, 7-0 Ivy) in a 2022 Ivy League Tournament semifinal contest.
First-year attack
Caroline Mullahy had a pair of goals, and Provenzano recorded a season high 15 saves to help Harvard stay in it after an early push by Princeton put the Tigers in front.
Princeton scored the first four goals of the contest in a span of 3:52 midway through the first quarter to take a 4-0 lead by the 5:24 mark of the first quarter.
Harvard responded with a three goal run, scoring its first goal of the night when Mullahy scooped up a lose ball, cut across cage and found the far corner at 4:41.
The Crimson continued the run in the second quarter as first-year

Callie Hem found the top right corner on a great individual run just under a minute later at 10:21 and the Crimson had all the momentum in the contest
But a three goal run for the Tigers to close the quarter give Princeton a 7-3 lead despite seven first half saves by Provenzano.
Mullahy scored her second of the night on a feed from
Annabel Child early in the second quarter (12:33) to make it 7-4.
Princeton added two goals in a span of 34 seconds to re-assert control at 9-4 with 8:51 remaining in the 3
rd. Sophomore midfielder
Maddie Barkate scored on a nice move coming from behind the Princeton net at 2:39 to make it 9-5. Princeton added a goal at 1:50 to make it 10-5 with 15 minutes to play.
Harvard again cut the Tigers' lead to four goals on
Charley Meier's goal through traffic at 11:21 of the fourth quarter, but the Crimson could get no closer than four goals the rest of the way,
