CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – No. 67 Harvard women's tennis (7-5) defeats Rhode Island (4-6) 5-0 on Friday, March 10. The win marks the Crimson's third win in a row and their 17^th win out of their last 20 matches when playing at home.
 
The Crimson got off to a tremendous start in doubles. Harvard's duo of Angel You and Charlotte Owensby defeated Rhode Island's duo, Nadia Rajan and Nikki Fernando, 6-1. Harvard's, Demi Snyder and Iveta Daujotaite would also defeat Rhode Island's Paulina Loredo and Ava Grnja 6-0 for the Crimson's second doubles win, securing the doubles point for Harvard.
 
Harvard did not let up in singles. In the one spot, Harvard's No. 82 ranked singles player in the country, Charlotte Owensby defeated Rhode Island's Sophie Herrman 6-2, 6-2. In the five spot, Rachel Arbitman defeated Rhode Island's Ava Grnja 6-1, 6-3. This was Arbitman's first singles match of the season.
 
Two more singles wins from Iveta Daujotaite and Mihaela Marculescu secured the 5-0 victory for the Crimson. Harvard has won all eight matches played against the Rams all time and has only let up one total team point in those eight matches.
