CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – No. 13 Harvard Men's Tennis welcomed No. 8 Virginia to the Beren Tennis Center this afternoon for a top-15 battle. Despite a tough fight, the Crimson dropped the match, 5-2.
The Crimson started the day on a high note, taking the doubles point through the first two matches completed.
Ronan Jachuck and
Steven Sun picked up their 12
th win of the spring season, as they were victorious in a 6-4 decision at the No. 2 position.
The duo of
Daniel Milavsky and
Harris Walker continue to dominate at the No. 1 position for the Crimson. Defeating the No. 53 nationally ranked duo, 6-4, the Crimson claimed the doubles point and went up 1-0 to begin the match.
Moving into singles,
Alan Yim picked up the sole win of the day for the Crimson. Dominating at the No. 6 position, 6-2, 6-4, Yim's win put the Crimson up 2-0.
Despite battling and tying three of their matches at 5-5 in the second sets, the Crimson were not able to prevail over the defending national champions.

- Since teaming up last weekend, the duo of Milavsky and Walker are 5-1 and have defeated ranked opponents in four of their wins.
- Jachuck and Sun continue to dominate at the No. 2 doubles position for the Crimson, leading the Crimson in wins as they sit at 12-3.
- Yim has looked strong this year, playing primarily at the No. 6 singles position. With the win, Yim improves to 5-1 for the spring.
- The Crimson continue to hold an 8-6 lead over the Cavaliers in the all-time series.
