CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard women's rugby (4-0) concludes its 15s regular season home slate with a matchup against Ivy League foe Brown (2-1) on Saturday, Sept. 30 at 1 p.m. Admission to Mignone Field is free and the game will broadcast live on NESN.
The Crimson are 4-0 open a 15s season for a third-straight season, as Harvard has outscored its opponents 232-24 across the four matches. The 24 points allowed are the least through four games in the last three seasons.
What To Know:
- The Crimson are 4-0 to start the 15s season for a third year in a row and are eyeing a 5-0 start for the first time since 2021.
- Sophomore Cameron Fields leads the Crimson attack, as the Stockton, Calif. native has a team-high seven tries this season. Fields has registered a try in every match this season.
- Fellow sophomore Lennox London was spectacular in Harvard's 45-3 win against Army last weekend. London scored a game-high three tries against the Black Knights.
- The Crimson are captained by seniors Brogan Mior and Elianne Sacher and junior Sofia Hilger this season.
- Head coach Mel Denham is in her seventh season at the helm of the Crimson program. She is assisted by Sylvia Braaten and Q Okine.
- Brown is 2-1 this season, posting shutout wins against Princeton and Queens. The Bears' only loss of the season is a 22-8 defeat at formidable foe Sacred Heart.
- Saturday's showdown represents the 13th meeting between Harvard and Brown in 15s play. The Crimson lead the series, 8-4.
- The two programs last met in 15s play in 2022, as seven different student-athletes found the try zone in a 45-14 win for the Crimson.
- Harvard has won six consecutive 15s contests against Brown, as the Bears' last win in the series was in 2015.
