CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard women's tennis began main draw play at the ITA New England Regionals this morning with seven student-athletes in singles and four duos representing in the doubles draw. 

Across singles and doubles action, the Crimson tallied seven wins.  Kavya Karra and Natalie Block both put up dominant performances in their respective matches, downing their opponents in straight sets while only dropping a single game. 

Kate Kim posted another straight set victory for the Crimson, dropping Julie Holte (Stonehill), 6-4, 6-2, for her third win of the young season.  To close out singles action, Maxi Duncan got back in the win column, dropping Isabella Venter (St. Bonaventure), 6-2, 6-3. 

Moving into doubles action, the Crimson collected three victories across its four matches.  As the top-seed, Holly Fischer and Charlotte Owensby had a strong start to its tournament, defeating Maria Jose Hernandez Diaz/Yahli Noy (Bryant) with a dominant 8-1 result.

The senior and first-year duo of Angel You and Anna-Raphaëlle Serghi provided another win for Harvard, dropping their Buffalo opponents, 8-6. 

Karra and Stephanie Yakoff provided the final victory of the day as they defeated the crosstown foe of Uma Bakaiyte and Gabriella Mikaul (BU), 8-4.
