CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Kavya Karra and
Stephanie Yakoff of Harvard women's tennis advanced to the finals of the doubles draw at the ITA New England Regionals this afternoon after defeating Natalie Eordekian and Tola Glowacka (Boston College).
The Crimson sophomores put up a dominant performance against the BC foes, dropping them in straight sets.
Karra and Yakoff began the day by cruising to a first set victory while not losing a single game.
The pairing continued their success into the second set, pulling out to a 3-1 lead. The Eagles duo collected themselves and were able to take a lead at 4-3. Determined to close out the match Karra and Yakofff took back all momentum, stealing the final three games to solidify the semifinal battle.
The Crimson duo will return to the court tomorrow at 12:30 p.m. ET to take on Peyton Capuano and Michela Moore (Dartmouth) for a spot at the NCAA Individual Championships.
