CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – In the first day of its final home fall tournament, Harvard women's tennis posted five wins through six matches in doubles and singles action.
The Crimson grab victories in both doubles matches this afternoon beginning with a 6-2 victory from
Kavya Karra and
Angel You over Saige Severance and Alex Torre (Boston College).
Natalie Block and
Maxi Duncan posted a near identical results, dropping Olivia Benton and Tola Glowacka (Boston College), 6-3.
Moving into singles, Block and You both grabbed their second wins of the day with victories over their crosstown foes. Block posted a strong, 6-3, 6-0, straight set victory over Nada Dimovska (Boston College) while You came back to defeat Torre (Boston College) with a 10-3 tiebreaks result.
Charlotte Owensby collected the final win of the day, dropping the ITA New England Regionals singles champion. After falling to Benton (Boston College) 6-1 in the opening set, Owensby battled through a 7-5 second set before blanking the foe, 10-0, in tiebreakers.
