CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard women's tennis concluded its final weekend at home by going nearly perfect in six matches this afternoon at the Harvard Fall Invitational.
In doubles action
Kavya Karra and
Angel You collected their second victory of the weekend, dropping Hannah Shen And Anne Yang (Brown) with a strong, 6-3, results.
Moving into singles, the Crimson had three student-athletes defeat their foes in straight sets beginning with
Maxi Duncan defeating Bella Hu with a dominant 6-0, 6-2 performance.
Next,
Natalie Block improved to 5-1 on the season after dropping Addison Ahlstrom (Brown), 6-2, 6-4. The final of the straight set victories came from Karra as she collected her team-leading ninth win of the season with a 6-4, 7-5 defeat of Ali Maguy (Brown).
Charlotte Owensby registered the final victory of the day to help the Crimson sweep singles play with a gritty win over Phoebe Peus (Brown). After dropping the opening set 6-4, Owensby returned with a 7-6 (4) second set and an 11-9 tiebreaker result.
