Way Earns Ninth Straight Ivy League Coach of the Year Award; Four Land on All-Ivy Team

PRINCETON, N.J. - For the ninth consecutive season Mike Way, the Gregory Lee '87 and Russell Ball '88 Endowed Coach for Squash at Harvard University and The Ragatz Family Harvard Women's Coach of Excellence, was named the Ivy League Women's Squash Coach of the Year while four of his student-athletes landed on the All-Ivy Team. Marina Stefanoni, Saran Gregory-Nghiem, Habiba Eldafrawy and Lucie Stefanoni were voted to the squad, giving the Crimson the most student-athletes represented on the team from around the league. Marina Stefanoni, Gregory-Nghiem and Eldafrawy all were voted to the team unanimously. 





The Crimson completed yet another undefeated Ivy record, it's eighth consecutive unblemished Ivy squash season, posting a 6-0 record driven by the strong play of its four All-Ivy team members. With the results, Harvard extended its Ivy League winning streak to 51 consecutive matches. The Crimson posted a combined individual mark of 49-5 through it's Ivy campaign - winning four of it's six league matches 9-0 - on it's way to the program's eigth consecutive Ivy League title. 

Stefanoni played at the no. 1 spot on the ladder for the Crimson in all six Ivy League contests, posting a 5-1 record and and besting her opponents in 17 of 19 sets during the Ivy League season. Stefanoni completes her three-year Ivy League career with a third-straight appointment to the All-Ivy League team. 

Saran Gregory-Nghiem went unbeaten in the six Ivy League matches for the Crimson, mainly playing as the teams no. 2. Gregory-Nghiem posted an 18-2 set record throughout the season to help the Crimson cruise through the campaign. This is Saran's second appointment to an All-Ivy team. 

Habiba Eldafrawy continued her run of success in 2023-24, registering a 5-1 record in Ivy League play, primarily playing as the team's no. 3 on the ladder. Eldafrawy won 17 of 22 sets in the campaign to land on her third-straight All-Ivy League team. 

Lucie Stefanoni shined in her first year with the Crimson, posting a 6-0 record from the no. 4 position to complete an undefeated Ivy League season. The first-year posted an 18-3 set record through League play to earn her first All-Ivy team honor. 

The Crimson have one more match remaining against Drexel (Feb. 17) in its 2023-24 regular season before the team will set its sights on competing for its eighth consecutive Howe Cup at the CSA Team National Championships.
