Women’s Tennis Preps for Pair of Ranked Road Matches

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – No. 38 Harvard women's tennis (18-2, 4-0 Ivy) will hit the road to face No. 68 Penn (15-7, 3-2 Ivy) and No. 44 Princeton (13-6, 4-1 Ivy) in two more Ivy League contests this weekend. The Crimson will first travel to Philadelphia to take on Penn on Saturday, April 20 at 1:00 p.m. before heading to Princeton to face the Tigers on Sunday, April 21 at 1:00 p.m.

Harvard is on a 14-match win streak and is coming off two conference wins over Cornell and No. 43 Columbia. The Crimson's twelfth straight win set a new program record.
Half of the Crimson's victories across the win streak have been 4-0 decisions.
Last weekend, Harvard cruised past Cornell to a 4-0 sweep before defeating No. 43 Columbia in a thrilling 4-1 win.
The Crimson stands at the top of the Ivy League as the only undefeated team in league play and will look to inch closer to its first Ivy title since 2017 this weekend.
In the most recent ITA Division I Team Rankings, Harvard moved up to No. 38 to mark a new season-high ranking. The Crimson is the highest ranked team in the Ivy League with Princeton following behind at No. 44.
Kate Kim has led the Crimson in singles victories for nearly the entire season, accumulating a record of 23-4 overall and 13-1 in dual action.
Holly Fischer has had a strong junior season for Harvard having accumulated a singles record of 17-3. The duo of Fischer and Stephanie Yakoff consistently appears at the No. 1 doubles spot and leads the team with an overall record of 12-5.
Four other Crimson players join Kim and Fischer with double digit singles victories: Yakoff with 17, Maxi Duncan with 14, Sany Gawande with 10, and first-year Kavya Karra with 10.
Harvard leads the all-time series 33-15 against the Quakers. The Crimson took the most recent match up last season, 4-0.
The Crimson and the Tigers are currently tied 25-25 all-time as the Crimson looks to gain an edge over the Tigers on Sunday. This would be Harvard's first victory over Princeton in the past five years.
