HANOVER, NH – No. 45 Harvard women's tennis (19-4, 5-2 Ivy) closed out the regular season this afternoon with a 4-3 victory over Dartmouth (7-13, 1-6 Ivy). 

How it Happened

Natalie Block and Sany Gawande picked up a dominant win at the No. 3 position and despite battling to extra sets at both the No. 1 and 2 the Crimson dropped the doubles point to the Big Green. 

The Crimson stormed back in singles play, grabbing wins at four of six positions to secure the final victory of the regular season.  Maxi Duncan, Kate Kim, and Natalie Block each collected straight set victories to help propel Harvard to the win. 

Playing in her first match at the No. 2 position, Duncan cruised to a 6-4, 6-1 victory over Michela Moore (Dartmouth).

By downing Elizabeth Fahmeier (Dartmouth), Kim dropped the least number of games of any Crimson player, defeating her opponent 6-1, 6-0. 

Charlotte Owensby solidified the Crimson victory by defeating Peyton Capuano (Dartmouth).  After falling 6-4 in the opening set, Owensby bounced back with 7-5, 7-6 (4) decisions in the next two sets to secure the individual and team win. 

Harvard Highlights

• With the victory, the Crimson improve to 19-4 on the year, marking its 15th win in the last 17 matches. 
• 19 wins marks the most victories for the Crimson with Traci Green at the helm of the program. 
• Kim continues to lead Harvard in singles victories, improving to 24-5 on the year with her 6-1, 6-0 victory at the No. 4 spot. 
• With her win at the No. 5 spot, Natalie Block registered her first career Ivy League victory. 
• Owensby's clinching win marks her first victory of the year at the No. 1 position. 
• With a dominant straight set, 6-4, 6-1 win at the No. 2 position, Duncan marks her 15^th overall victory of the year.
