CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Nastasha Rajaram of Harvard women's tennis began play for the Crimson at the ITA New England Regionals in the qualifying draw this morning. 

The sophomore battled against Madara Markevica of UMass-Amherst, battling tightly in the two-set match. 

Ultimately, Markevica claimed victory with a pair of 6-4 results to drop Rajaram in the opening round of the qualifying draw. 

The Crimson will be represented by six singles players and four duos tomorrow as the main draws begin at 10:00 a.m. ET from the Beren Tennis Center and the Murr Tennis Courts.
