CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard women's squash officially opened its 2025-26 season this evening at the Murr Cetner with a 9-0 sweep over No. 12 Dartmouth. The top-ranked Crimson (1-0, 1-0 Ivy) secured win at all nine positions against the Big Green (1-2, 0-1 Ivy), dropping just one game in the match to open the season with a victory.
How It Happened
The Crimson began its 2025-26 campaign this evening at the Murr Center Squash Courts when it welcomed in the Big Green for an Ivy League showdown. Playing on a three-court system, Harvard opened the match strong and never looked back to secure a convincing victory in its first match of the season.
Lucie Stefanoni opened the winning for Harvard with a quick 3-0 result at threes. Stefanoni outscored her opponent 33-7 in the match that finished in under twenty minutes. First-years
Dixon Hill and
Jomana Ahmed both secured their first collegiate victories at eights and sixes, respectively, in the first wave to boost Harvard to a 3-0 lead.
Saran Nghiem led off the second group of matches with a dominant 3-0 victory at twos.
Ocean Ma followed her lead and clinched the match for the Crimson with a 3-0 win at fives.
Sarita Popat closed out the second group of matches with a 3-1 win at sevens, giving Harvard a 6-0 lead heading into the final groups.
Caroline Fouts and
Ona Blasco Puig recorded the wins at ones and fours, respectively before
Molly Stoltz closed out the match with a win at nines. Blasco Puig's win was the first of her collegiate career.
