PHILADELPHIA, PA – Harvard women's tennis fell, 4-2, in its early season rematch with Princeton on the final day of the ECAC Championships.
The Crimson struck first with a pair of convincing wins at the top two doubles courts.
Stephanie Yakoff and
Kavya Karra came out on top first, dropping their opponent, 6-2.
Holly Fischer and
Charlotte Owensby followed closely behind with their own 6-3 win at court one.
In singles, Harvard pulled further ahead as Karra collected her second win of the afternoon with a dominant straight set (6-1, 6-2) victory at court six. The win from Karra would be the final Crimson point of the contest as the Tigers found its footing and turned the momentum.
Princeton tied the match with wins at court two and three before stealing a pair of three set battles at the No. 4 and 5 spots to clinch the win.
