CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard women's tennis (5-6, 0-0 Ivy) recorded its second straight sweep this afternoon as it blew past Stony Brook (4-5, 0-0 CAA), 7-0.
Rachel Arbitman and
Angel You continue to provide a dominant presence in the doubles lineup for the Crimson. The captains collected their third straight 6-0 win while playing at the No. 3 doubles spot to open action this afternoon.
Natalie Block and
Maxi Duncan followed to clean up the double point with an equally impressive 6-1 victory at court two.
The Crimson then went on to sweep singles play while not dropping a set on any court.
Stephanie Yakoff did not surrender a single game this afternoon, defeating Cornelia Bruu-Syversen (Stony Brook), 6-0, 6-0 on court three.
Maxi Duncan (6-0, 6-1),
Natalie Block (6-2, 6-0), and
Kavya Karra (6-0, 6-2) fell in only a combined five games to collect three impressive straight set victories in the second half of the lineup.
After falling behind 4-1 in the first set,
Holly Fischer stormed back on court two to defeat Elena Lobo-Corral (Stony Brook), 7-5, 6-2. While playing her second straight match on the top court,
Charlotte Owensby tallied the final win of the day, defeating her opponent 6-3, 6-2.
