PROVIDENCE, RI – Harvard women's tennis (12-8, 4-0 Ivy) has started the Ivy season 4-0 for the second straight season as it defeated Brown, 4-2, in Providence this afternoon.
Harvard once again looked strong in doubles, beginning with
Maxi Duncan and
Kavya Karra blanking its opponents on court two. The captain's duo of
Rachel Arbitman and
Angel You than solidified the doubles point with a 6-3 result at the No. 3 spot.
Holly Fischer provided the Crimson with another singles win, defeating Gabby Soliman (Brown) in straight sets 7-5 and 6-1.
After dropping the first set,
Stephanie Yakoff fought back to win the last two sets 7-5 and 6-3.
Kavya Karra secured the win for the Crimson with a convincing 6-2 and 6-3 result.
