CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard women's tennis cruised past Penn, 4-0, this afternoon to remain undefeated through the first three Ivy matches.
Harvard started hot as
Maxi Duncan and
Kavya Karra were unstoppable at the No. 2 doubles spot, dropping their opponents, 6-0.
After falling at court three,
Holly Fischer and
Stephanie Yakoff came up clutch with their second win of the weekend, capturing the doubles point with a 6-4 victory at the top court.
Duncan kept up her strong play in singles with an impressive 6-4, 6-1 win at the No. 5 spot to give Harvard another point.
Charlotte Owensby followed at court three with a 6-3, 7-5 victory to pull the Crimson within a point of clinching the match.
Kavya Karra ultimately provided the decisive victory at court six. After winning every game in the opening set, the sophomore battled through a 7-5 second set to secure the straight-set win.
