CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard men's tennis opened its 2025-26 season with four victories on day one of its annual home event, Chowderfest.
To begin the day, the Crimson recorded a pair of victories in doubles action beginning with
Benjamin Privara and
Valdemar Pape blanking Edward Liao and Eric Li (Yale), 6-0.
Kolos Kincses and
Mitchell Lee added the second win, squeezing out a 7-6 (6) win over Petar Teodorovic and Nathan Gold (Cornell).
Harvard went on to collect two more wins in singles beginning with
Valdemar Pape defeating Jason Shuler (Yale). The senior breezed to a 6-1 victory in set one but Shuler responded with a 6-3 second set. Pape regained control of the match and solidified his victory with a 6-4 third set result.
Mitchell Lee notched the final victory of the day for Harvard, defeating Rethin Kumar (Cornell). After falling 6-3 in the opening set, the sophomore responded with a pair of 6-4 results in the following two sets.
