CARY, N.C. – Kavya Karra and
Stephanie Yakoff of Harvard women's tennis continued their run at the ITA All-American Championships this evening, advancing out of the prequalifying doubles draw.
The Harvard duo punched their ticket to the qualifying draw after defeating Maralgoo Chogsomajav and Zhanel Rustempva (Kansas State). The junior pairing won the opening set 6-4 and narrowly fell in tiebreaker in the second. Karra and Yakoff then went on to dominate the third-set tiebreaker, winning 10-3 to advance.
Charlotte Owensby also collected a win this morning, defeating [21] Gloriana Nahum (Oklahoma), 4-6, 6-1, 6-3. The senior later fell in the round of 64 to end her run at the championships.
