Karra and Yakoff Conclude ITA All-American Championship Run

CARY, N.C. – Kavya Karra and Stephanie Yakoff of Harvard women's tennis concluded their run at the ITA All-American Championships yesterday, narrowly falling in the opening round of the qualifying draw.

The Harvard duo breezed through the opening set, blanking the second-seeded duo of Luciana Perry and Teah Chavez (Ohio State).  The Buckeyes responded with a narrow victory in the second set, 7-6 (8).

Despite battling tightly, the Ohio State pairing edged out Karra and Yakoff with a 10-8 third-set tiebreaker result.

The Crimson pairing that appeared in the NCAA Individual Championships a year prior made a strong run at the ITA tournament, advancing out of the prequalifying draw with two convincing victories.
