NEW YORK, N.Y. – Harvard women's squash posted its best win of the season this afternoon after defeating the No. 3 Stanford Cardinal in the Big Apple. The Crimson (5-0, 3-0 Ivy) took down the third-ranked Cardinal, 6-3, to remain unbeaten in 2025-26. The win comes on the eve of the CSA Individual National Championships, where five Harvard student-athletes will compete for trophies.
How it Happened
The first event in a packed weekend for the Harvard Squash program, the Crimson women's team competed against No. 3 Stanford in a meeting of two of the top teams in the nation.
Harvard got started early, grabbing a 4-0 lead after wins at twos, fives, threes and nines.
Lucie Stefanoni led off the match for the Crimson, posting a 3-0 win. Stefanoni outscored her opponent 33-21 in the match as the junior remains unbeaten in 2025-26.
Ona Blasco Puig continued the run at fives, posting a hard-fought 3-0 win. She won all three games by just two points, two of which when to tiebreaks.
Saran Nghiem followed suit with another 3-0 win at threes.
Molly Stoltz closed out the strong start in her matchup at nines, coming out with the decisive fifth game to win 3-2.
After Stanford recorded its first win of the match at sixes,
Caroline Fouts clinched the win at the top of the ladder with a swift 3-0 victory. Fouts won in consecutive games while outscoring her foe, 33-17.
Dixon Hill secured Harvard's final point of the match at sevens with a 3-0 victory. Stanford collected two more wins in the overall match, but Harvard would come out with the victory, improving to 5-0 on the season.
