NEW YORK, N.Y. – It was a busy day in New York City for Harvard men's and women's squash, who begun play at the CSA Individual National Championships. The Crimson's top-five student-athletes on each team competed in the first and second rounds of the tournament today as the team collected 12 wins across both tournaments.
 

Tournament Updates

• Three women and two men will move on to the Round of 16 tomorrow after winning their first matchups.
• All 10 competitors won their round of 64 matches (that includes three byes) to advance to the Ramsay Cup and Pool Trophy main draws.
• On the women's side, Caroline Fouts, Lucie Stefanoni and Saran Nghiem all posted 3-0 wins in the Round of 32 to move on to the next round.
• Ona Blasco Puig and Ocean Ma each won their opening round matchups but fell in the Round of 32. The duo will move on to compete in separate consolation brackets.
• In the Pool Trophy draw, the Crimson posted five wins in the Round of 64. David Costales, Christian Capella and Denis Gilevskiy all won in straight games. Omar Azzam posted a 3-1 come-from-behind win and Maddox Moxham upset his first-round opponent to advance.
• In the Round of 32, Azzam and Gilevskiy each posted 3-1 wins to move on to the Round of 16.
• Costales, Capella and Moxham all fell in the second round but will move on to compete in the consolation brackets.
• Capella and Moxham will meet in the first round of their consolation bracket tomorrow afternoon.
