NEW YORK, N.Y. – Caroline Fouts will be competing for a National Championship tomorrow afternoon after advancing in her semifinal match today. Fouts will take on the Ramsay Cup draw's No.1 seeded player – Zeina Zein of Princeton – in the championship match tomorrow at 1:30 PM on the Tournament of Champions Glass Court inside Grand Central Terminal. Tournament Updates
- Fouts continued her run through the Ramsay Cup draw, defeating her semifinal opponent from Yale, 3-1. Fouts won the first game 11-6, before outlasting Heng Wai Wong from Yale, 14-12 in a. second game tiebreaker. The sophomore fell in the third game but rallied back in the fourth to win 11-3 and punch her ticket to the Championship round.
- Fouts and Zeina Zein have not met on the court in CSA action. Zein is the CSA's reigning Individual National Champion.
- In the Pool Trophy semifinal, Omar Azzam battled against Muhammad Irfan from Trinity. Azzam kept all three games close, but eventual fell 0-3 to bring his incredible tournament run to a close.
