CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard women's tennis (4-5) battled but ultimately fell to Big 12 foe Baylor (4-3), 4-0, at the Murr Center this afternoon.
The Crimson were a few points shy of starting the match ahead, narrowly falling in the doubles point.
Stephanie Yakoff and
Kavya Karra recorded a dominant 6-2 victory over Zuzanna Kubacha and Neda Rahimkhani (Baylor) for the first win of doubles.
Kate Kim and
Claire Shao then battled back from 3-0 down but ultimately fell 7-5 on court two.
With the momentum of their doubles point, the Bears continued to deliver in singles action. Harvard was battling, but Baylor ultimately grabbed four of six first sets.
Claire Shao and
Andra Braicu were a bright spot for the Crimson as they each tallied first set wins on court three and six, respectively.
The Bears ultimately secured their win with victories on courts two, four, and five.
