Former Crimson Women Soccer Athletes Turned Pro; A Look Into Their Careers

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Harvard women's soccer team has been a magnet for talent, recruiting top-notch athletes each year. Following their time as part of the Crimson, 10 athletes have progressed their careers and turned Professional. Spanning 2 Continents and 6 Countries, these 10 former Crimson are furthering their soccer careers across the globe.

Nicola Golen - Ottawa Rapid (Northern Super League)

  • A Forward, joined the Rapids in 2025 where she notched her first career goal, which led to her signing an extension through 2026. While at Harvard, Golen made 42 appearances from 2021-24, scoring 3 goals and providing 7 assists.

Jade Rose - Manchester City (Women's Super League)

  • Rose signed with European giants Manchester City in July 2025 and quickly became an integral part of their team starting 15 of their 18 matches this season, where they are atop the WSL with a 15 point cushion above second place rivals Manchester United. Rose made 53 appearances from 2021-24 for the Crimson.

Josefine Hasbo - Boston Legacy (National Women's Soccer League)

  • In her early professional career, the Danish international has already seen great success, being a part of Gotham FC's Championship run last season as well as competing in the 2023 World Cup, 2025 Euros, and winning the Danish League Championship with Bronby IF at just 17 years old. Now, for the Boston Legacy the midfielder looks to continue her already illustrious career. Hasbo logged 55 appearances for Harvard, providing 17 assists and 25 goals.

Hannah Bebar - Bay FC (National Women's Soccer League)

  • The midfielder joined Bay FC in February 2025, where she has made 17 appearances and 12 starts. Bebar made 47 appearances for the Crimson where she netted 17 goals and provided 25 assists.

Anna Karpenko - Montreal Roses (Northern Super League)

  • Joining the Roses in 2025, the 23 year old goalie has logged 18 appearances for them, including a clean sheet in the club's first ever victory. For Harvard, Karpenko made 41 appearances, where she made 10 shutouts.

Midge Purce - Gotham FC (National Women's Soccer League)

  • The US international has enjoyed a long professional career for both club and country following her time at Harvard, spending the last decade in the NWSL for the Boston Breakers, Portland Thorns, and currently Gotham FC. She has made 129 professional appearances in the NWSL and 30 appearances for her nation. She scored 42 goals in 69 appearances for the Crimson.

Lara Schenk - FC Carlzeiss Jena (Frauen-Bundesliga)

  • Currently playing for FC Carlzeuss Jena in Germany, Schenk has also played in Belgium for Club Brugge and Anderlecht. Before turning pro, she made 55 appearances for the Crimson.

Audrey Francois - Vancouver Rise (Northern Super League)

  • Francois signed her professional contract in January 2026, where she's coming off a productive tenure for the Crimson. In 65 matches, she started 31, netted 8 goals and assisted 8 as well.

Aslaug Gunlaugsdottir - Parma Club (Serie A)

  • At just 15, the Icelandic international made her professional debut for Volsungur, until eventually joining Breidablik, where she found great success by winning the Icelandic Premier League in 2018 and 2020, winning the Icelandic Super Cup and being named Icelandic Young Player of the Year in 2019, as well as making her first international debut that same year. For the Crimson, she made 24 appearances, and produced 12 goals and 11 assists.

Murphy Agnew - RCSA France (Premiere Ligue)

• • The 27 year old has compiled an adventurous professional career, playing in 4 countries (Prottur - Iceland, Newcastle Jets - Australia, Celtic - Scotland, Strasbourg - France). Agnew made 52 appearances for the Crimson, with 17 goals and 17 assists.
