CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – After four straight non-conference matchups, Women's Lacrosse will return to Ivy League play on Saturday when it welcomes the Brown Bears to Jordan Field. First sprint is scheduled for 12:00 p.m. and will stream live on ESPN+.
Coming off back-to-back wins over No. 12 Duke and Holy Cross, the Crimson looks to win its third straight in a pivotal matchup in the Ivy League standings.
On Saturday, the Crimson will celebrate the 50th season of Harvard women's lacrosse, with the program hosting numerous events throughout the day to honor alumnae from the past fifty years.
WHAT TO KNOW
- Winners of its last two games, Harvard will look to make it three in its first conference game in three weeks.
- Sitting at 0–2 in Ivy play, the game against the Bears will be a key test in the Ivy League standings.
- Brown is 1–1 in Ivy League games, with a win over then-No. 25 Cornell and a loss to No. 5 Yale last weekend.
LAST TIME OUT
- Harvard cruised to a 17–9 win over Holy Cross on Tuesday evening after a seven-goal outburst in the third quarter helped lead the Crimson to its second straight win.
- The Batchelder sisters combined for 16 points on the night, as both had career performances in the win over the Crusaders. Harvard is now 3–3 in non-conference games this season.
- Callie Batchelder led the way offensively with nine points, recording three goals and six assists in a career night for the junior.
- Her sister, Cecelia Batchelder, led the scoring for the Crimson, netting her first career hat trick before adding three more goals to finish with six goals and an assist.
- Grace Mullahy picked up her second hat trick of the season and her first since the season opener against Notre Dame. Mullahy has recorded a multi-goal game in five of eight games this year and has scored in all but one.
- Despina Giannakopoulos led the way defensively with eight ground balls and three caused turnovers in the best defensive outing by a Crimson defender this season.
- Lexie Koch won eight draws on the night.
LOOKING BACK
- Harvard fell to the nationally ranked Brown Bears in its last meeting in Providence last season.
- Falling 12–10, Harvard took an early 4–1 lead but could not hold off a big second half from Brown, dropping to 1–2 in Ivy League play.
- Caroline Mullahy broke the Ivy League record for most career assists after finding Hannah Shiels for the Crimson's second goal of the game. With two assists in the game, Mullahy recorded her 127th, record-breaking helper.
- The last time the Crimson hosted the Bears at Jordan Field, Harvard charged back in the fourth quarter to earn an 18–17 win and open the season 4–0 for the first time since 1992.
- Outscoring the Bears 7–1 in the fourth quarter, Riley Campbell and Callie Hem both scored in the final minute to tie and then win the game.

LAST SEASON AT A GLANCE
- Consistently ranked in the top 25 all season, Harvard opened the year with three wins in its first four games, defeating UAlbany at Jordan Field in the season opener before notching upsets over No. 15 Navy and No. 23 UConn in late February.
- Caroline Mullahy was the story of the season, rewriting the Harvard, Ivy League, and NCAA record books. She tallied her 100th career assist in the season opener against UAlbany, broke the Harvard program record with her 112th assist against Bryant in late March, and then broke the Ivy League record in her next game against Brown.
- Mullahy became just the seventh player in program history to record 200 career points after a six-point outing against Yale. She added two assists in the final game of the season to become just the 15th player in NCAA history to record 150+ career assists.
- Mullahy was joined by Annabel Child as All-Ivy First Team selections, and both were named USA Lacrosse All-Americans after earning honorable mention recognition.
NEW TO THE GROUP
- The Crimson welcomes eight new members to the program as part of the Class of 2029.
- Three members of the rookie class were named to the Inside Lacrosse Power 100 rankings, with Lexie Koch earning the highest ranking at No. 40, while Emerson Midura and Cecelia Batchelder received honorable mention recognition.
LEADING THE GROUP
- Despina Giannakopoulos and Kate Gilliam are set to lead the Crimson this season.
- Giannakopoulos started all 14 games last season and all 15 the year before, serving as a key member of the defensive unit throughout her tenure.
- Gilliam returns for her senior season after appearing in 29 games during her Crimson career. The New York native scored three goals last season.
KEY RETURNERS
- Offensive leaders Charlotte Hodgson, Callie Batchelder, and Grace Mullahy all return for the Crimson.
- Batchelder recorded a career-high 45 points (26 goals, 18 assists) in her sophomore campaign.
- Hodgson added a career-best 40 points after leading the team with 30 goals.
- Playing alongside her sister, Grace Mullahy increased her point production by 33 points in her sophomore season.
