PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The No. 4 Harvard women's squash team cruised to an 8-1 win this afternoon against the No. 5 Trinity Bantams to earn a spot in the semifinal round at the CSA Team National Championships. The Crimson posted seven 3-0 sweeps in the match to advance to the semifinal round in the Howe Cup draw for the 16
th time in the past 17 seasons. Harvard earned the right to play No. 1 Princeton tomorrow afternoon with a spot in the Howe Cup Championship match on the line.
How it Happened
The Crimson's chase for the National Championship began this afternoon in Philadelphia with a match against its out-of-conference rival, Trinity, in the quarterfinal round. The fourth-seeded team in the tournament, Harvard was looking to defeat Trinity for the second time in the 2025-26 season.
Harvard took a commanding 3-0 lead after the first wave of matches.
Saran Nghiem – the 2026 CSA Betty Richey Award Winner – posted the first win in the match with a 3-0 sweep at threes.
Ona Blasco Puig posted a clutch 13-11 win in the third game of her match to earn a 3-0 sweep.
Molly Stoltz posted a thrilling 3-2 win at nines, battling back from an 0-2 deficit to earn a 3-2 victory and help Harvard build a 3-0 advantage.
Lucie Stefanoni raced to a 3-0 win at twos to begin the second wave, outscoring her opponent 33-18 in the match.
Dixon Hill kept her perfect individual record intact at sixes, posting a 3-0 win that featured a 14-12 tiebreak win in the first game. Hill's victory sealed the win for Harvard and advanced the team into the semifinal round tomorrow afternoon. Trinity closed out the second wave with a win at sevens to make the score 5-1.
Ocean Ma began the final wave with a quick 3-0 win at fours that featured an 11-0 shutout in the third game.
Caroline Fouts followed with a 3-0 win at the top of the ladder in a match where she outscored her foe 33-14.
Sarita Popat closed out the contest with a 3-0 win at eights, giving Harvard the 8-1 victory.
