CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Women's tennis (12-9, 2-4 Ivy) defeated No. 49 Columbia, 4-2, on Saturday afternoon at the Beren Tennis Center.
In doubles, Natalie Block and Natasha Rajaram won the first match of the day for the Crimson, 6-4, before Columbia responded with a win to set up a winner-take-all match on court two. Claire Shao and Kate Kim secured the doubles point for the Crimson after winning in a tiebreaker, 13-11, to take the match, 7-6.
In singles play, Kate Kim dropped the first singles match as Columbia tied it at one apiece. Claire Shao earned the second point for the Crimson in two sets before Natasha Rajaram put the Lions on the ropes with the Crimson's third point after another two-set win.
Kavya Karra secured the win for the Crimson with another two-set victory, marking the team's second Ivy League win of the season.
