The 2026 season was one to remember for the Harvard women's lacrosse program, as the Crimson honored the past with its 50th anniversary celebration while embracing the future. With the senior class helping lead Harvard to key victories over Brown and nationally ranked Duke, a new era for the Crimson is beginning to take shape.
Led by Ivy League Midfielder of the Year Charlotte Hodgson, the Crimson offense was dangerous all year. The first player in program history to earn the honor, Hodgson was also named a USA Lacrosse All-American Honorable Mention and earned a spot on the IWLCA Northeast Region First Team. Joining her on the attack was Callie Batchelder, who put together another career year in her junior season, while underclassmen Cecelia Batchelder and Grace Mullahy stepped up in a big way for the Crimson.
Fellow seniors Kate Gilliam and Despina Giannakopoulos also had strong seasons for Harvard, with Gilliam notching a career year highlighted by a five-goal outburst in the road upset over Duke.
Next season, the Crimson returns a solid group of its offensive and defensive core as it looks to return to the Ivy League Tournament.
