CARY, N.C. – Harvard women's tennis battled in the opening day of the prequalifying draw at the ITA All-American Championships as it had four players in the singles bracket and a pairing in the doubles draw.
Amina Zeghlouli and
Anna Tabunshchyk, who were competing in their first collegiate matches, each won their opening sets but ultimately fell in three sets.
Natalie Block and
Kavya Karra fell to opponents from Notre Dame and Furman, respectively.
Block and
Natasha Rajaram fought hard against their seeded opponents from SMU but ultimately dropped the match, 6-4, 6-2.
Competition for the Crimson athletes will continue tomorrow in the consolation draw beginning at 11:00 a.m. ET.
