CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- The Harvard women's rugby team defeated Dartmouth, 31-7, on a rainy night at Mignone Field on Friday to remain undefeated on the young season. The Crimson moved to 3-0 and with its second win over an Ivy League opponent clinched its second consecutive Ivy League Championship and fourth overall.

Harvard has won 16 games in a row dating back to 2024 and has won 10 consecutive home games. The Crimson's senior class is now 16-1-1 on Mignone Field over the last four years.
How It Happened
• It took over 20 minutes for one side to finally break through with a score and it was Gemme Ogoke with her first try of the half that put Harvard in front. Near the 10-minute mark it was Ogoke again that touched down for the try; this time gaining possession out of a scrum and navigating across the line to make it 10-0.
• The Crimson made it 17-0 late in the first half on a try by
Courtney Taylor and
Evie Eyers added the conversion was straight on.
• Dartmouth's offense broke out in the final moments of the first half before Eyers made a stop from behind, but the Big Green retained possession and pushed across for a try plus a conversion to cut Harvard's lead to 17-7 at the half.
• The Crimson got to work with the first score of the second half to push its lead back to 17 at 24-7. It was
Josephine Mignone using a massive stiff arm to create the space necessary to touch down on a run to the left side and finish the try, which was followed by Eyers' second conversion of the game.
• The Harvard defense remained stout in the second half and continued to turn back Dartmouth's attacks. Eventually, the Crimson were able to add to their lead with roughly eight minutes left in the game on a try by
Morgan Gibson. The ball was scooped up near the goal line by Avan Ference and quickly pitched to the right to an open Gibson, who dove in to touch down for the score.

• Ogoke scored the first and second try of the game for the Crimson; scoring twice in the first half for the second game in a row.
• Ogoke was joined on the scoresheet by Taylor, Mignone and Gibson.
• Eyers connected on three-of-five conversions attempts; finishing the game with three consecutive makes.
• Harvard inched closer to evening the all-time series against Dartmouth and now trails 28-27 with its fifth consecutive win over Dartmouth. The Crimson also held the Big Green to its fewest points in the series in 15s since 2018.
