PRINCETON, N.Y. – Facing rocky weather conditions across both rounds at the Springdale Golf Club, Harvard women's golf finished in fourth place at the Princeton Invitational.
Junior
Vanessa Zhang was the Crimson's top performer at the Princeton Invitational, finishing in sixth place after posting a +1 score across the only two rounds of the weekend.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The first round saw Zhang utilized her consistency to navigate the difficult conditions in the Garden State, as the Vancouver, British Columbia carded a 72 (+1) with only two bogeys and a birdie on the par-four eighth hole.
- Along with Zhang, senior Bonnie Zhai only shot a 73 (+2), leading all Crimson in the first round with three birdies, including back-to-back on the seventh and the eighth holes.
- In the second round, Zhang carded a 71 (E), as she found success on the back nine in the last round at the Springdale Golf Club. Zhang did not bogey a single hole on the back nine, as she cemented her sixth place position with birdies on the 11th and 18th holes.
- First-Year Daniela Paez rebounded with a great second round, picking up three birdies in the back nine, two of them on the final two holes of the tournament.
- In the second round, Harvard combined for 11 birdies to close out its time at the Princeton Invitational
