Gained seven All-America awards at the NCAA Championships, including First Team honors in the 100 back (seventh place) and Second Team accolades in six events – the 200 medley relay (ninth), 800 free relay (15th), 200 free relay (ninth), 400 medley relay (11th), 100 free (ninth), 400 free relay (ninth) … Set school records in the 200 free relay, 400 free relay, 200 medley relay, and 400 medley relay; with all four times coming at the NCAA Championships … Won the 2022 Harold Ulen Career High Point Swimmer award at the Ivy League Championships … Captured Harvard’s William J. Competed at Wave II of the U.S. Olympic Team Trials in June 2021, placing 15th in the 100-meter backstroke (54.17), 15th in the 100-meter freestyle (49.15), 19th in the 100-meter butterfly (52.95), and 30th in the 50-meter freestyle (22.68) ... Earned "elite" designation from the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee in September 2020 ... Collegiate season canceled due to COVID-19.

With his NCAA wins in the 100 back (43.66) and 100 free (40.80), he became the first Harvard swimmer to win at least two events at nationals since 1954 (Dave F. Hawkins – 100 breast, 200 breast) ... He became just the third Crimson swimmer to have won multiple events at NCAAs in program history (William Kendall '40, Hawkins '56, Farris) ... With his victory in the 100 back, Farris became Harvard's first NCAA champion since David Berkoff in 1989 (100 back) ...
