Faculty Standing Committee
The Faculty Standing Committee on Athletic Sports is primarily responsible for matters of principle and the general oversight of operations for all the Faculty’s athletic programs. Its membership includes faculty, students, and representatives from various concerned institutions across the University who meet regularly to discuss policy, consider league and association memberships, hear reports, monitor the sports experience at the College, review utilization of facilities, provide input on staffing issues, and insure compliance with federal statues related to sports activities.

Harvard Athletics Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging Task Force Members
As a department we are committed to advancing an anti-racist culture within Harvard Athletics and the greater Harvard community. In order to strengthen our efforts, we are forming the Harvard Athletics Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging Task Force. This group will be charged with identifying areas of priority and creating positive change and  opportunities for our department, the university, and our community at large. The task force will be a collaborative effort between student athletes, coaches, and campus and department administrators, who will make recommendations to John D. Nichols ’53 Family Director of Athletics, Erin McDermott.

Social Committee
The purpose of the Social Committee is to foster connections among the Harvard Athletics community and create a positive social environment in the Department. Student-Athlete Chief Marketing Officer Program
The Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) Program brings together team representatives to enhance marketing support, develop leadership skills and increase collaboration and communication. The CMOs are recommended by their coaches and serve as liaisons to the marketing department. In addition to providing a platform for exchanging ideas, sharing best practices and networking with guest speakers, the CMO Program provides student-athletes the opportunity to learn marketing skills; offer valuable recommendations for promoting their teams to students, fans, and alumni; and build community and pride in Harvard.

Student-Athlete Advisory Committee
The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) serves to provide Harvard varsity athletes with a substantial role in the overall Harvard Athletics and Ivy League policy-formation processes, as well as helping to continue building the athletic, university and overall Harvard communities. Specific responsibilities of the SAAC are to advise the department on issues of importance to student-athletes and to help carryout community-building events. SAAC is comprised of 1-2 student-athletes from each varsity team.
