Fredi Schneider – a former varsity skier at Plymouth State University – enters his second season on the Harvard University alpine skiing coaching staff as an assistant coach in 2025-26.

In 2024-25, Schneider mentored two of the breakout stars on the EISA circuit in Duncan Armstrong ’28 and Skylar Sheppard ’28. Armstrong qualified for the NCAA Championships in his rookie season while Sheppard – who clocked the fastest time in the first run of the slalom at the Dartmouth Carnival – tallied four top-10 finishes over the year’s first four carnivals before missing the latter portion of the season due to injury.

Schneider holds extensive racing experience at the FIS, Nor-Am, and collegiate levels. A USCSCA National Collegiate All-Academic Ski Team honoree, Schneider competed with the Panthers on the highly competitive EISA circuit.

Alongside a commitment to maximizing the student-athlete experience, Schneider brings a skill set to the Crimson that includes athlete development, skiing fundamentals and fitness training, ski equipment maintenance, course maintenance and inspection, mental preparation, and video analysis.

A product of Burke Mountain Academy and a native of Bridgewater, New Hampshire, Schneider earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Plymouth State University in 2024.
