During the 2023-24 season, Halvorsen helped coach Rémi Drolet ’24 to an appearance in the 2024 NCAA Championships with Drolet placing fourth in the men’s 20k classic. Landis aided the Crimson in hosting the Harvard Carnival for the third time in five seasons from 2020-24 and helped lead the team to an eighth-place finish at the EISA Championships.

In her first season coaching at the collegiate level with the Crimson in 2022-23, Halvorsen helped guide Drolet to a national title as he won the 2023 NCAA title in the men’s 20k classic. Halvorsen helped the Crimson host the Harvard Carnival for the second time in four years (2020-23).

Halvorsen has competed at the highest level in cross country skiing at the 2022 Winter Olympic Games and has acted as a prominent member of the U.S. National Team. In 2019, Halvorsen was involved in a terrible accident, when she was hit by a car while crossing the street and suffered a skull fracture, bleeding and bruising in her brain, a tibia fracture, and her left MCL and PCL were torn completely and detached from the bone. Her return to international competition and qualifying for the 2022 U.S. Olympic Team has inspired many.

On the U.S. Ski Team, she served as D-Team liaison. Halvorsen has served as a contracted writer for many major brands including Outside Magazine, Cross Country Skier, and Hoka. Halvorsen is a vocal leader in the ski community by advocating for eating disorder awareness and by partnering with Project RED-S; a global reaching organization that is working to provide resources on eating disorder in sport.

While coaching she has continued her education at the Harvard Extension School, pursuing a degree in Organizational Psychology with a goal of gaining a certificate in Diversity Leadership.

Halvorsen graduated from Alaska Pacific University in April 2022 and earned a dual degree in both counseling psychology and business administration.
