Current (2022-23)

Maya Nakachi Simkowitz transitioned to the role of Student Assistant prior to the 2022-2023 academic year. In the capacity, Simkowitz will aid and assist the Harvard Alpine Ski Team in a variety of roles including race day execution, social media, as well as alumni outreach.

Sophomore (2019-20):

Named to the USCSCA All-Academic Team...Appeared at the Middlebury/EISA Regionals.

First-Year (2018-19): 

Did not compete. 

Before Harvard:

Competed with the Waterville Valley BBTS and the Justemu Racing Team in Hokkaido, Japan…Competed on the 2018 Japanese National Junior Championship Team…Member of the 2017 New Hampshire State Team…Placed second on the U18 Podium at the Treble Cone Southern Hemisphere Trophy Cup FIS Race in 2017…Overall winner at the La Foley New Hampshire Spring Series…Took second in the 2017 New England Classical Association Essay competition…Sister, Rena ’19, mother, Mari ’87, and aunt, Junko ’83, all attended Harvard…Father, Dan ’87, swam at Harvard and served as captain for the team.
