Alberto Linaldi Constantino is a Seasonal Assistant Coach for the Harvard Men’s and Women’s Fencing programs, specializing in foil. With over nine years of coaching experience, Coach Linaldi brings a strong background in both athlete development and high-level competition.
Linaldi's epee teams enjoyed more success in 2025-26 as junior Jessica Guo became the first two-time NCAA Women's Foil National Champion in program history, capping a dominant tournament with a 20-3 record after also posting the tournament's top +50 indicator at the Ivy League Championships. First-year Lucia Zhang made an immediate impact in her NCAA Championships debut, tying for third to earn First Team All-America honors. On the men's side, first-year Roy Graham earned All-Ivy League First Team honors after taking third at the Ivy League Championships, then followed with a seventh-place finish and Second Team All-America recognition at the NCAA Championships, while sophomore Andrew Chen added an All-Ivy League Second Team selection.
In 2024-25, Linaldi helped coach sophomore Jessica Guo won her first individual Ivy League title in women's foil with a perfect 17-0 record, the only undefeated fencer at the tournament, while sophomore Daniel Zhang earned All-Ivy League First Team honors in men's foil. At the NCAA Championships, Guo advanced to the national championship bout for a second straight year, finishing runner-up to earn First Team All-America recognition, while senior Lauren Scruggs (Second Team All-America) and first-year Andrew Chen, who also finished national runner-up in men's foil to earn Second Team All-America honors, rounded out a standout postseason.
Coach Linaldi joined Harvard for the 2023–2024 season, where he contributed to the team’s success in capturing its second NCAA Championship. In his role, he supports student-athletes through technical refinement, tactical development helping our crimson program achieve three Ivy League titles (two for the men's team and one for the women's team).
Originally from Mexico, Coach Linaldi is a former Mexican National Champion and a member of the Cadet and Junior National Teams.
